Things To Do

In Beyer kingdom, one never lacks for adventure Or relaxation!  On the extensive castle grounds, you can fish in our private moat, follow the meandering creek through the verdant woods, grab a book from the library, listen to music played by the 95 year-old Regina-phone, or sun bathe on the upper tower deck.

Within a mile of the castle, you will find a 16-screen movie-plex and a 70-lane bowling alley.  Nearby there is also a large mall, and several fine ethnic eateries.  Numerous theatrical venues, including the Morris Civic Center for the Performing Arts as well as Funny Bone Comedy Club are within the city limits. Antique malls surround the outer parapet of the castle in all directions. For museum-lovers, there is the College Football Hall of Fame, the Studebaker Museum, the Oliver Mansion Museum, Century Center Museum of Art, South bend chocolate museum (yummy!  you'll never see you're wife again...send your mother-in-law), and even the RV/Motor Home Museum located in nearby Elkhart.  (Yipee!)   You might even want to tour the grounds of a little-known college school ( founded by a friar), called Notre Dame. Or take in a baseball game at the Coveleski stadium. lf you have a well-fed and trusty steed for transportation, within an hour's ride is beautiful Lake Michigan with numerous state parks hugging its pristine shoreline.  An  150 outlet mall is located in nearby Michigan City.  Along the way, you might want to taste a sample at one of the area's fine wineries. (And don't forget to bring back a bottle for the King, if you want him to lower the drawbridge!)

To the east, there is another kingdom called Amish land where you can spend the day riding in horse-drawn buggies, eating scrumptious country food, and seeing what the latest style in black is all about.  Directions and advice can be garnered from your innkeeper upon arrival.
